Whether students are new to an instrument or seasoned players looking for new ideas; if blues, classic rock, contemporary rock, funk, or jazz are their music of choice - Summer Jam at Settlement Music School gives students a new edge on rhythm, harmony, improvisation, effects, sound and performance skills on their chosen instrument.
Summer Jam emphasizes practical playing experience through a variety of classes, clinics and performance activities for today's players.
All participants will be placed in ensembles with musicians of similar training and ability. A recording of your work (DVD or CD) and a live performance at a local club are included in the 9-or-10-day sessions.
Jam Sessions are held 9 AM to 3 PM, Monday through Friday with classes from 9 AM - noon; an hour lunch break where participants bring their own lunch and eat together at the school; and jam/practice sessions from 1 - 3 PM.
