Settlement Music School is the largest employer of musicians in the region, with over 250 degreed faculty members. More than 60 percent of them hold advanced degrees, and all have significant and professional experience which allows students to receive the best training possible.
Settlement also employs close to 50 full-time and a number of part-time staff members, 60% of whom have direct program responsibility and are trained musicians and experienced, credentialed educators and professionals.
The board structure of Settlement Music School is unique in that it mirrors its multi-campus design and enhances its ability to stay alert to community needs. Currently, 48% of the Central and Branch boards are students, alumni or parents of students and alumni. About 7% are second and third generation supporters, including grandchildren of the founders.
