The Comcast Foundation has provided generous three-year funding in support of the use of new media to increase the school’s online visibility, result in increased online registration and giving, and serve as a model for other community arts organizations to improve their use of new media.
105th Anniversary Gala
Settlement Music School’s Annual Gala, will be held on April 20, 2013 at the Hyatt at the Bellevue l with proceeds benefiting Settlement Music School programs and financial aid for students.
The gala attracts more than 400 of the area’s top corporate and community leaders for an evening that includes a cocktail reception, dinner and dancing, as well as short performances by students at Settlement Music School. This annual event receives significant media coverage.
Settlement Music School is the largest and one of the oldest community schools of the
arts in the country, providing more than 10,000 weekly services to students in six branch
locations in South, West and Northeast Philadelphia, Germantown, Willow Grove and
Camden, New Jersey. Since 1908, more than 300,000 people have benefited from
Settlement’s services.
