Educational Improvement Tax Credit
For more than 20 years, Settlement Music School has offered an arts-based full-day preschool called Kaleidoscope, which serves 114 students, 95% of whom are underserved, low-income children. This nationally-renowned program has been the subject of research studies that point to the effectiveness of arts-based learning, and has gained the notice of the Federal Department of Health and Human Services, National Head Start, and the National Endowment for the Arts.
Kaleidoscope receives support from many businesses through Pennsylvania’s Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program (EITC). Entities authorized to do business in Pennsylvania may receive up to a 100% tax credit when they make a donation to Kaleidoscope, making it an easy way to support the School.
Please go here for a summary of the tax-credit program that includes a summary of Kaleidoscope.
To show our appreciation to EITC contributors, Settlement will acknowledge all donors of $5,000 and above on our website and selected print materials and will include logos for donors committing $10,000 and more. All donors through the EITC program will be listed on our Annual Fund listing, published annually.
