Centennial Campaign
Settlement’s $25 million Centennial Campaign is designed to ensure the continued vitality and excellence of Settlement’s programs, faculty and facilities in its second century of service.
Priorities & Goals
The Centennial Campaign seeks funding for four critical initiatives:
• $9 million in increased endowment to provide perpetual support for financial aid, and other key programs.
• $8 million for a new and larger facility in Willow Grove to replace the currently leased Jenkintown Branch with an expanded service area and almost doubled capacity.
• $3 million for improvements and enhancements to existing branch facilities
• $5 million to support new and expanded programs, such as the growing financial aid program, a special Camden Aid Fund, the expanded Kaleidoscope early childhood program in Germantown, and more Outreach and Teacher Training programs in nearby communities. Settlement programs require significant subsidy to maintain breadth of access, quality of offerings, and scope of services. Throughout the campaign period, several current and new efforts require additional, multi-year support. Such programs include:
Progress to Date
Settlement has received gifts and pledges to the Campaign totaling $20 million, including a $3 million Economic Development grant from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and a $1.25 million Facilities Capital challenge grant from The Kresge Foundation for the Willow Grove facility project.
